PERAN PENDIDIK DAN KEPEMIMPINAN DALAM PENGUATAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER

Pendidikan karakter memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk individu yang berintegritas dan bermoral tinggi. Artikel ini mengkaji peran pendidik dan kepemimpinan dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Pokok permasalahan yang dibahas meliputi tantangan era digital, seperti pengaruh media sosial, kekerasan, dan intoleransi di sekolah, yang memperumit upaya penguatan karakter. Pendekatan yang diusulkan meliputi pengajaran aktif, mentoring, bimbingan, serta kebijakan sekolah yang mendukung. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa pendidik yang efektif tidak hanya berperan sebagai pengajar tetapi juga sebagai model perilaku dan motivator yang mampu menginspirasi siswa. Kepemimpinan sekolah yang baik dapat menciptakan budaya sekolah yang konsisten dengan nilai-nilai karakter. Kesimpulan dari artikel ini adalah kolaborasi antara pendidik, kepemimpinan sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat sangat penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif bagi pengembangan karakter siswa.
Character education plays a crucial role in shaping individuals with high integrity and moral values. This article examines the roles of educators and leadership in strengthening character education in schools. The main issues discussed include the challenges of the digital era, such as the influence of social media, violence, and intolerance in schools, which complicate efforts to enhance character education. The proposed approaches include active teaching, mentoring, guidance, and supportive school policies. The main findings indicate that effective educators not only serve as teachers but also as role models and motivators who can inspire students. Good school leadership can create a school culture that is consistent with character values. The conclusion of this article is that collaboration between educators, school leadership, parents, and the community is crucial to creating a conducive environment for character development in students.
